Being a student has its perks! Shopping has never been easier with these discounts! Student discounts have saved me a lot of money, whether shopping for clothes or paying for subscription services like Spotify Premium and Amazon Prime. It also never hurts to ask if the place you are shopping has a student discount – the worst they can say is no! Below are a list of places that offer a student discount and some of my current favorite items at each place.
1. Apple – Apple offers an educational discount that can save you up to $200 on electronics! This can be great if you’re like me and your laptop crashes during exams your freshman year of college 🙁 I was able to get a deal on my MacBook Air and I received a free pair of Beats with my purchase.
2. Amazon – This is one of the best student discounts around. Not only does Amazon offer a 6 month free trial of Prime, but they also offer Prime to students for 50% off after their free trial. Amazon literally saves my life daily. My family even buys our groceries through Amazon! So many times in college I’ve had fun themed socials for my sorority that require some sort of costume. For our alien-themed social, I prime’d some super cute galaxy leggings for only $10! Additionally, as you guys know, I’ve recently been doing some of my apparel shopping on Amazon. Amazon is so so so convenient and a great resource for busy college students!
3. Spotify Premium – Another great purchase for students! I often use Spotify to help me focus while I study or while I’m working out at the gym. As a student, Spotify Premium is only $4.99 a month! In my opinion, this is an amazing deal! Not only do you get to listen to Spotify with no ads, but you also can listen to any song you want at any time. And Spotify has it all! (except Taylor Swift – but if you’re an avid fan like me, you can import your iTunes downloads so you can still add TSwift to your playlists)
4. ASOS – ASOS offers a student discount of 10% off. ASOS is a great place to shop for cute clothes for going out or for any events you may have. I really like shopping at ASOS for sorority recruitment items as the prices are reasonable and the clothes are really cute! And they offer free shipping and free returns – that’s always a win!
5. J.Crew – J.Crew offers a student discount of 15% in stores only. J.Crew is a great place to shop for professional options or for your boyfriend or dad! J.Crew’s discount is great because it helps you to get really nice items for a more affordable price, especially as a strugglin’ college student. Fun fact, I actually prefer J.Crew Factory to J.Crew. I think their clothes are even cuter and obviously much more affordable!
6. Kate Spade – Like J.Crew, Kate Spade offers a student discount of 15% off in stores only. This discount is great for picking up that bag you’ve been dreaming about for months! With it being in stores only, I think it is helpful as it kind of forces you to look closely at the bag you are purchasing to see if it could work well for you. I think this is important because a Kate Spade purse is a nice purchase that you will hang on to for years to come.
7. Madewell – I LOVE Madewell. I really wish there was a Madewell store near me. That being said, if there is a store near you, they offer a 15% off discount. Madewell has the prettiest clothing items along with great jewelry and shoes. It is a little pricey but the discount is a great way to keep it affordable!
8. Topshop – Topshop offers a 10% discount in stores and online! Like ASOS, Topshop is one of my favorite places to find clothes for going out, special events, and sorority recruitment. They are actually offering a 20% discount right now for a limited time!
I would love to hear about any other student discounts you guys know about! Hope you enjoyed this post!
