Miami Summer Style + Weekend Guide

This summer has already been so much fun! I have loved getting to explore South Florida. As someone who has lived in Florida almost her whole life, I have spent most of my time in central Florida or on the west coast of Florida. Given the opportunity to live in Delray Beach for the summer, I’ve been able to explore a good portion of the southern part of the state. I definitely have more places I want to visit during my time here (Florida Keys and West Palm Beach are two on my list). So far in my short time here, I’ve spent time in Boca Raton and Delray Beach mostly and have taken two weekend trips to Miami. I also briefly visited West Palm Beach for the Kenny Chesney concert (so fun!)

Today, I wanted to share more specifically some of the fun restaurands and bars I’ve been to in Miami, mostly in Coconut Grove but a few spots elsewhere.

Restaurants:

Eating House

The food at Eating House was delicious. We ordered off their dinner “family style” type menu and did not disappoint. It was a 7 course meal featuring chicken and waffles, barbecue Brussels sprouts, rosemary popcorn, cauliflower, pasta carbonara, and two delicious desserts!

Black Brick Chinese

Black Brick had such a great atmosphere! The food was delicious, especially the explosive chicken wings and fried rice!

Coyo Taco

Coyo Taco was awesome! I got chicken tacos but I got to taste their burrito bowl and it was delicious!

The Salty Donut

The Nutella donut changed my life.

Green Street Cafe

This one might be my favorite! It had such a great atmosphere for brunch because you sit outside in Coconut Grove. I had caramelized banana pancakes but also tried out the ham and cheese omelet which did not disappoint! And their potatoes were amazing.

 Taurus

My pizza here was delicious! It was spinach, lemon, and mozzarella cheese with sea salt. So tasty!

Butcher Shop and Beer Garden

We mostly just drank here but the beer was good and you can get beer towers which are a lot of fun!

bookstore & kitchen

I came in not knowing anything about this place but I absolutely loved it and will be going back for sure!

 Panther Coffee

I loved Panther Coffee mostly for their cold brew! If you are a coffee enthusiast, this is definitely the place to be.

Chicken Kitchen

Chicken Kitchen is a South Florida chain with famous curry sauce that is absolutely delicious. Get it on their original chop chop and you will love!

Perricone’s

This place had very yummy Italian food and a very nice atmosphere. It was great for a nice dinner in downtown Miami.

Area 31

Area 31 was a fun rooftop bar in downtown Miami! We heard they have a great happy hour too!

If you’re looking for things to do other than eat, I would definitely recommend going to the Wynwood Walls and walking around. Additionally, I loved walking around the Coconut Grove area.

Now onto the outfit details for this week! My mom actually scored this Free People dress from TJMaxx for me for only $25. These slip dresses are so cute for summer but you definetly have to wear a slip and a bralette under (lots of side boob otherwise). I chose the Free People Adela Bralette in periwinkle to pick up the bright colors in the dress. For accessories, I chose my Daniel Wellington Roselyn watch, Ray Ban sunnies, my Rebecca Minkoff crossbody, and my Kendra Scott bangles and necklace. Last but not least, I’m wearing these adorable sandals from Seven Dials shoes. They are so comfy and soft on the bottom. I love the espadrilles look for summer!
