Back to College | My Haul with The Container Store

Hey friends! I couldn’t be more excited to share today’s post with you featuring my Back to College haul from The Container Store. I’ve always found that moving in and going back to school can be very stressful. However, these products from The Container Store will make the process so much easier. I am so excited to be moving into my own apartment after never having my own place. I have always lived in smaller spaces like my dorm room freshman year and my sorority house sophomore and junior years. Having this unique experience allows me share my small-space wisdom with you all! For my apartment, I am hoping to create a serene and tranquil living space that is a nice place to relax when I’m not busy with school or friends. Given that peaceful vision, I am designing my space with neutral colors that remind me of the beach. I chose the white and driftwood finishes to create that neutral space, bringing in accents like gray, ratttan, and other woven materials. I could not be more excited to share with you all what I got and why I loved it. If you’re wanting no-stress beautiful college essentials, then look no further! If you sign up now with your email address at containerstore.com/college, you will receive 20% ALL of your purchases from July 20 – August 20. Happy shopping and best of luck with the college move-in process! The details are below:

Light Gray Poppin Box Bench

What I love most about this bench is how it easily collapses to make college move-in easy. Then, once you arrive, you can stuff it full of goodies you don’t want on display. I plan to use mine to hold my winter sweaters and clothing I won’t need until December or January (because I live in Florida). Plus, I love the chic look of having a bench at the end of my bed!

Light Grey Poppin Box Seat

To match my bench, I felt like I just HAD to have this extra storage cube box seat. I love pulling it up to my mirror to use for a seat while I apply my makeup. I love these box seats as they are so versatile in a college dorm or apartment when you want to have friends over even space is limited.

Rustic Driftwood Encore Narrow Bookshelf

I have always wanted to have a cute little bookshelf in my room to hold my favorite books, knick knacks, and other goodies. This bookshelf is the perfect way to display some of your favorite decorative items while maximizing storage at the same time! Plus, the driftwood color is stunning!

X-Large Diamonds Seagrass Belly Basket

I love the look of a beachy basket with a cute throw peaking out. I’m always freezing, so having storage for my blankets is a MUST (especially when I lived in my super cold freshman dorm)!

White Cache Desk

Yes, college is a lot of fun but there comes a point where we must get down to business and get work done! I loved the simple design of this desk and how it effortlessly fits into any room. Pairing the driftwood color of the bookshelf and bedside table with the chic white creates a sophisticated look for my college space.

Small Rustic Driftwood Vario Stackable Shelf

Stackable anything is great when it comes to college. Maximizing space through anything that provides a storage opportunity is essential. I plan to use these stackable shelves as a bedside table on one side of my bed. I love that I can store items in the rattan storage cubes I bought to go with the shelving units!

Whitewash Rattan Storage Cube with Handles

I bought these storage cubes to sit inside the driftwood stackable shelves I purchased to use as a bedside table. They add such a nice beachy detail which always reminds me of home when I’m away at college.

Rustic Driftwood C-Table

For the other side of my bed, I plan to use this driftwood c-table. I love how versatile this table is and how it could be used for various purposes. I can picture it being used as a mini-vanity table with a mirror above it. This table would also look great in an entryway to drop keys and small items on when you walk through the door.

Beach House Hand-Woven Trash Can

As I mentioned before, I love beachy items that remind me of home when I’m away from home. A trash can is no exception! This not-so-glamorous item is a chic and beachy add-on that looks great in any room!

White 1.3 Gal Glossy Round Retro Step Trash Can

Another not-so-glamorous item but I picture this cute white retro step trash can in my bathroom. I love how it has a lid and a small pail that can easily be removed when taking out the trash.

Screwdriver (linked similar)

This might sound crazy – but this screwdriver is one of my favorite things I bought! I think that having a screwdriver with interchangeable heads is so important when you’re in college and don’t want to waste space with a huge toolbox. Having tools to hang items with or putting furniture together is a huge part of the college move-in process. Tools like this screwdriver make all of that so much easier!

Good Grips Magnetic Clips Assorrted

These magnetic clips aren’t the most fun item to buy but they are absolutely essential for college kitchens! I find that chip clips always seem to disappear so having a few extra around is never a bad thing!

Rabbit Bottle Stoppers Assorted

In my later years of college, I have grown to love drinking wine. I always struggle with getting the cork back into the bottle when I’m done with my glass. These bottle stoppers allow the perfect solution as they keep your wine fresh!

Polder Compact Accordion Drying Rack

My roommate last year had a drying rack and I found myself often wishing I had my own. I love the compact design of this drying rack (perfect for small spaces!). I’ve also found that dorm dryers aren’t always the best (at drying and they’re rough on your clothes) so a drying rack could come in very handy!

Rockford Shower Caddy E-Chrome

Having a shower caddy to organize my hair products and soap in the shower will keep my space nice and tidy. I also love how you can flip the bottles over and dispense the liquid through the shower caddy.

Shower Curtain Rollerz Chrome

Another essential item for keeping your shower nice and tidy! Using these rollers to hang up my shower curtain liner and shower curtain will keep my bathroom clean.

Fabric Shower Liner & Curtain White

Another bathroom essential! The shower curtain liner keeps the shower curtain from getting wet or worse, moldy.

Huggable Suit Hangers Ivory

Ask any of my friends and you will find out that I am crazy about huggable hangers! I’m all for maximizing space (especially in small college closets) so these hangers come in super handy! Plus, they look nice and uniform in your closet.

Umbra 4×4 Prisma Picture Display Frame Gold

My mom has one of these photo frames in our house and I absolutely love the look of it. I plan to put a cute photo of my sorority sisters and me in this frame!

I also wanted to give you a sneak peek of some of my favorite items styled in my own room! As you can see, they were a perfect addition to my current furniture and space. Not to mention, everything was super easy to assemble!
