Fall is around the corner and it’s time to start creating that fun seasonal content we all know and love! Brands LOVE seasonal content so take this opportunity to play it up! 2020 was the first year I prioritized creating seasonal content. And, let me tell you, it PERFORMED! I had fun with swimsuit hauls and my mini blow-up pool in the summer. I went to pumpkin patches and decorated my house for fall. The holidays brought my most successful quarter to date, bringing in over 50 percent of my contracted campaigns for the year of 2020. It’s no coincidence that the year I started prioritizing seasonal content was the year I contracted almost $20,000 in brand collaborations. Learn more about my seasonal content strategy in this post! I kept up my seasonal content strategy in 2021 and so far, I’ve doubled my income from last year, contracting over $40,000 in brand partnerships. Want to learn more about how to implement seasonal content into your strategy? Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite fall photoshoot ideas that you can RECREATE!
Pose with Fall Leaves
The easiest fall content idea, of course! That is, if you don’t live in Florida like me where the leaves never change 😉 The good news is that many places have changing leaves that you can take advantage of. I took this photo in Prague where the fall was STUNNING! I’m hoping to travel to see some leaves this fall.
Decorate Your Porch
Decorating your porch is a SUPER EASY fall content idea, no matter where you live. Grab some pumpkins, a fun wreath, and some mums to really complete the look (even if it’s 95 degrees outside where you are like it is here!)
Make a Fall Cheeseboard
Set up a fall tablescape or cheeseboard for an easy fall content idea. What a fun and tasty way to bring in the season! Grab some fresh fall flowers (sunflowers, mums, and colored daisies are my faves!), apples, cheese, and anything in the fall color palette to complete this photoshoot idea.
Pose with a Hay Bale
Not going to lie, it was kinda hard to find a hay bale here in Florida, but I succeeded! Pumpkin patches are typically the best place to find these. Hay bales make for a great fall photoshoot backdrop!
Follow the (Red) Brick Road
My favorite fall photoshoot HACK! Here in Florida we don’t have fall leaves, so this historic brick road is the next best thing for creating a fall photoshoot backdrop. I’m lucky to live in a historic area with lots of brick streets, but I can almost guarantee you you will find one of these roads in any town! Scout one out and use it as a fun fall photoshoot location.
Head to a Pumpkin Patch
Pumpkin patches are the ULTIMATE fall photoshoot location. Of course, they won’t open until later in September or early October, but when I go, I like to bring a bunch of outfits to create ALL the fall content! Just make sure you are purchasing pumpkins and supporting the pumpkin patch if you are taking photos there.
If all else fails….dress in fall hues!
Dressing in fall hues is my go-to fall photoshoot hack. Here in Florida, we don’t have fall leaves or corn mazes or any of the typical fall activities. My workaround is just dressing in fun fall hues and shooting my typical content with a fun, fall spin on it!
I am so excited to create more fall content this season! The planning and shooting has already begun and it’s still August as I write this. I have so many exciting photos to share with you all!
