If you’re headed to Austin, Texas soon, keep this guide in your back pocket! We went recently for a trip and it was the BEST time! Here’s everything we did in a few days there:
Food
- Ramen Tatsu Ya (@ramentatsu_ya): So good we went twice in two days – get the OG 🍜
- Uchiko (@uchikoaustin): We really liked the p38 & crunchy tuna rolls, tempura onion rings, & broccolini 🍣 🍱
- Veracruz (@veracruztacos): More breakfast tacos FTW 🌮
- Terry Black’s BBQ (@terryblacks_bbq): Check out the pit tour while you’re there! 🍖
- Aba (@abarestaurant): Still thinking about the mushroom hummus 🤤
Coffee + Breakfast
- Forthright Cafe (@forthrightcafe): Get the mushroom toast 🍄
- Cenote (@cenoteaustin) – Breakfast tacos & a cappuccino were fabbb 🌮 ☕️
Drinks
Rainey Street and 6th are huge popular areas with tons of bars! It was freezing when we visited and us Floridians didn’t pack the right clothing so we ended up staying in most nights. Two places we did go to and really liked were Whisler’s (@whislersatx) and Lazarus Brewing (@lazarusbrewing) 🍺
Things to do:
- Visit the Capitol
- Texas State History Museum
- Look for fun murals 🎨 check out SoCo and Rainey Street for lots of ‘em!

- South Congress: My favorite area of Austin! There’s tons of fun shopping and great spots like Kendra Scott (@kendrascott) Flagship, Outdoor Voices (@outdoorvoices), Lululemon (@lululemon), Krewe (@krewe) pop up, Alo (@aloyoga), local boots & hats, & more 🛍
- Thrifting: Check out Pavement (@pavementaustin) Buffalo Exchange (@buffaloexchange atx), and Leopard Lounge @leopardloungeatx ♻️
- Free People Movement in the University area (@fpmovement)
