Our Staycation at the Bali Hai
One of my favorite things about 2020 is that I’ve discovered my love for a good staycation. I’ve really enjoyed exploring my beautiful Sunshine State! I can see why so many people love to vacation here. One of my new favorite spots is Anna Maria Island, so naturally I was so excited for my stay and partnership with the Bali Hai (mention my name “Emily” for 10% off your ENTIRE STAY!)
Where is the Bali Hai?
The Bali Hai Beachfront Resort is located on the private white sand beaches of Anna Maria Island (AMI), Florida. The property is one of Anna Maria’s newest, boasting modern, luxurious beachfront rooms.

Here are just a few reasons we loved our stay at the Bali Hai Beachfront Resort:
The hotel is in close proximity to AMI shops and restaurants
One of the things we loved most about the Bali Hai was the proximity to everything. We were a quick hop, skip, and a jump from AMI favorites like the Sandbar, the Donut Experiment, and Poppo’s Taqueria. The Bali Hai provides cute beach cruiser bikes to use to cruise around Anna Maria Island.
Longboat Key is also a quick 15-minute drive from the Bali Hai. We enjoyed two wonderful dinners at Whitney’s LBK and Shore LBK during our stay.
Golf carts are also incredibly popular around the island. Many guests at the Bali Hai opt to rent golf carts to see all that AMI has to offer. The front desk is available to help arrange this service for your stay!
The decor and comfy beds
I kept joking around that I would like to hire the Bali Hai team to decorate my house! I loved the a chic, beachy decor, featuring touches like driftwood, wicker, and neutral colors. Our room had this amazing light fixture above the dining room table that I wished I could take home with me.
Speaking of the dining room, our room had an amazing mini-kitchen! It was stocked with a microwave, toaster, large fridge, kitchen sink, and complimentary coffee. We went to Publix at the beginning of our stay to stock up on snacks and goodies for our weekend on Anna Maria Island!
Our living room also had the biggest Smart TV I have ever seen – not even kidding! We loved that we had all the luxury and amenities of a luxury resort but were still right on the beach.
At night, we loved sitting on our balcony with a glass of wine and listening to the waves crash! It was the perfect way to relax.

While at the Bali Hai, we spent most of our time lounging by the pool. We loved the cozy cabana beds and lounge chairs poolside, with a whole field of turf to enjoy as well!
Delicious drinks at the Bali Hai Lounge
Conveniently, the Bali Hai Lounge is right next to the pool, stocked with coffee, alcoholic beverages, and snacks to munch on. Each morning, I grabbed a delicious iced coffee here! One morning, our favorite bartender, Kevin, even added some spiced rum, pumpkin syrup, and Kahlua to my iced coffee – needless to say it was delicious!
I also tried out his chocolate cake shots, served with a sugared lemon on the side. Seriously, ask for one when you get there! Each drink was delicious and different. And, the Bali Hai offers poolside beverage service, which made it very easy to enjoy a yummy cocktail by the pool!
The Anna Maria Island beachfront views
Each morning, we started our day with a walk on the beach. The AMI beaches are absolutely stunning. We were treated to the 300 feet of private white sand beach right in front of the resort. The hotel also offers complimentary lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach. The sunsets, palm trees, and Florida sunshine make it easy to relax and enjoy your stay.
Did I mention the Bali Hai is super Instagrammable?
If Instagram-worthy spots are your jam, look no further! Every detail of the Bali Hai is Instagrammable! I took pictures all over the property, but I absolutely loved shooting with the vintage car parked outside the hotel. The car is unlocked, so you can hop in and shoot some super fun retro content!
I also loved taking photos on our balcony, by the pool, and of course, on the the beautiful Anna Maria Island beaches!
