Unique Gift Ideas for Dog Lovers and Owners 2020

If you’re anything like me, you’re probably OBSESSED with your dog. Winston has been the best part of 2020 for us. We are so glad we decided to take the plunge and bring the little guy home. He brings so much joy to us every single day! That’s why today I am sharing my favorite gift items for dog lovers and owners.

I spoil him just about every day with treats, toys, and walks, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have some Christmas gifts planned for the little guy. If you are looking for some awesome gift ideas for a pet owner or your pet, look no further! I’m sharing all of my favorite gifts for dog lovers and owners this year!

Disclaimer: All gifts are Winston-approved! 🙂

Target Dog Themed Mugs ($5 each)

Last year, I picked up the cutest “dog person” mug from Target! I love these new options that they’ve come out with. Perfect easy and inexpensive gift for a pet owner on your list!

The Year of the Dogs Book ($26.95)

dog lovers

This is my favorite book EVER. National Geographic photographer Vincent Musi took on the challenge of photographing dogs with the same studio lighting and techniques he uses for his commercial work. Each page features a new dog, and let me tell you, there are quite a few characters in this book! I love that he gives a brief synopsis for each dog, sharing their name and a little bit about them. And the photography is absolutely stunning – I find a new favorite pup every time I open my copy!

If you love the Year of the Dogs as much as I do, they also have a calendar and cards! If you or your loved ones are dog lovers like me, I can confirm the calendar hanging in my kitchen brings me joy every time I walk past it.

Dog Phone Case ($35+)

Casetify phone cases have been my go-to for many years now. They are super protective while still looking SO CUTE! They have so many options for cute dog phone cases. If you look for your favorite breed, you will almost definitely find it!

Custom Dog Socks ($15.95)

dog lovers

I mean….of course I want socks with Winston’s cute corgi face on them! Is that even a question? For $15, grab the perfect personalized gift for any dog lovers on your list!

Target Dog Pajamas ($10)

dog lovers

I purchased these pajamas for Winston this year and he looks SO cute in them. I went with the medium and they are a tiny bit long on him (he’s about 25 lbs but long and short to the ground – corgi problems hehe). You really can’t beat the price at just $10. They have multiple prints and styles, so lots to choose from! Target even carries matching pajama sets for dogs and their owners – I was seriously tempted to match with Winston!

Furbo Dog Camera ($134 on sale, marked down from $199)

dog lovers

The Furbo has caught my eye since we first brought Winston home. Furbo lets you check in on your pet when you’re away from home. The smart camera will notify you when your pet barks, and you can actually communicate with them through the device. The best part is that you can actually toss your dog a treat through Furbo’s app! Dogs lovers, don’t fret when you have to leave your furry friend, Furbo’s got your back!

BarkBox ($25/mo)

dog lovers

Barkbox is probably my favorite thing we’ve picked up for Winston. I love the monthly subscription service, delivered straight to my door each month. The Barkbox toys are by far Winston’s (and my) favorite. He’s gotten so many cute ones, like a Thanksgiving turkey, a pup-kin spice latte, a fluffy lamb, and nachos!

We also love that each box comes with treats and chews (usually sticks or bones.) Winston goes nuts for the flavor, so it must be great! I think it’s nice, because I rarely have to run out to pick up treats or anything for Winston since it comes straight to my door. And, I love spoiling him with new toys once a month.

You can use my link for a FREE EXTRA MONTH of Barkbox! This gift is perfect for any dog lovers on your list.

Plush Dog Bed ($29)

dog lovers

We recently bought this bed for Winston and he is absolutely OBSESSED with it. I haven’t seen him in his crate or other beds since it arrived. I’m looking at him laying on it as we speak. So it has Winston’s seal of approval. I like it too because it is neutral and works with my decor.

Puzzle Toy ($17)

Winston is a busy little guy. Corgis are known for their high energy, but he loves anything that keeps him entertained for awhile, especially if it involves food. I’ve been wanting to grab him one of these puzzles! They’re great for keeping pups stimulated. I read somewhere that toys like this can be the equivalent of a walk when they stimulate the dog enough. This toy in particular looks like a great option, as you can hide treats for your pup to find once they figure out the toy!

Dyson V8 Absolute Vacuum ($299)

This Dyson vacuum was one of the best purchases I’ve made in 2020, especially with a new puppy around. Going cordless makes IT SO EASY to vacuum. I actually can’t imagine going back to a standard vacuum after using this one. I like that it comes with tons of different attachments and swivels to fit into tiny corners. I’ll even use the couch attachment to clean up Winston hairs when I get the “on my way!” text from a guest. Takes 30 seconds and you’re done!

That’s all for now! Hope you found the perfect gift options for the dog lovers and owners on your list.
