St. Pete is home to many beautiful little spots that make for wonderful photoshoot locations. From colorful murals, to beachy settings, to a cool downtown vibe, we have it all!
If you haven’t checked out my Most Instagrammable Locations: Downtown Edition or my Instagrammable Murals in St. Pete Part One and Two, you definitely should.
I’ve been hearing from many of you how much you like these posts so I wanted to give you MORE locations! Today, I’m going to share some of my favorite spots to shoot around the St. Pete area.
Photoshoot Location 1: Old Northeast
The Old Northeast is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in St. Pete, featuring historic, restored homes from the 1920s. The neighborhood has so much charm, with brick streets and beautifully landscaped spots to shoot. One of my favorites spots is on 23rd Avenue North. It is a white arbor-like structure where gorgeous pink flowers grow. This location is lesser-known, and never busy. You’ll almost definitely have the whole place to yourself!
Location: 23rd Avenue North x Bay Street Northeast Traffic Circle, St. Petersburg, FL 33704
Photoshoot Location 2: St. Petersburg Open Air Post Office
Did you know that St. Pete is home to the nation’s first open-air post office? It was built in 1916 and has been fully-operational ever since. The post office has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1975. This location is also one of my favorite spots to take photos because I love the old, gorgeous design!
Location: 400 1st Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701
Photoshoot Location 3: Vinoy Park Palm Garden
Vinoy Park is one of my favorite places in St. Pete. We love walking there at night to get some fresh air. There’s always beach volleyball games, lots of dogs at the dog park, tons of leisurely cyclists, runners, and gorgeous scenery. If you get lucky, you can sometimes even see dolphins and manatees in the water! But best of all, is the Palm Gardens!
Vinoy Park has a dedicated spot (Gizella Kopsick Arboretum) for 60 palm trees and 10 different species in the park. A lovely place for a leisurely stroll, we’ll often bring Winston on a walk in this area when I’m not shooting content!
Location: North Shore Dr. x 11th Ave NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701
Photoshoot Location 4: St. Pete Women’s Club/Snell Bridge
The St. Petersburg Women’s Club was founded in 1913. The facility was built in the 1920s on a gorgeous waterfront property near the Snell Isle Bridge. Now, it is home to many weddings and events in the area. I love taking photos here because you have the beautiful ambiance of the women’s club, but also the waterfront property in front of it. You could shoot multiple looks here and no one would know it was the same place! I’ll also often shoot on the Snell Bridge close by.
Location: 40 Snell Isle Blvd NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33704
What are some of your favorite spots to shoot around town? I’m always looking for new photoshoot locations!
