It’s that time of year again…Valentine’s Day! I had so much fun putting together this Valentine’s Day Photoshoot and wanted to share a little behind-the-scenes with you!
For this shoot, I felt inspired to hop in my bathtub! I’ve seen inspiration photos of people hopping in the tub and filling with props – from balloons to a fancy milk bath to ramen noodles. For a long time, I’ve been wanting to find a way to use my bathtub in photos.
Enter Valentine’s Day!
Valentine’s Day was the perfect opportunity! I picked up props from Target and Five Below to fill the tub. Keeping the pink theme in mind, I rented this fun Saylor jumpsuit from Fashion Pass, pairing with my white boots.
P.S. If you’re interested in Fashion Pass, you can score $35 off your first month with my code: HELLOEMILYERIN! Best decision I’ve ever made as a content creator – there are ENDLESS clothing options from my favorite designers. I swap out every single week to get fresh clothing items for my photoshoots.
Here is a list of the props I used for my Valentine’s Day photoshoot:
- Balloon Arch with Greenery ($6): This kit was exactly the same price as a standard pack of balloons at Target, so it just made sense to get the one with the greenery. I figured I could use some of the balloons, while saving the greenery and extra balloons for later use!
- Fringe Rose Gold Backdrop ($6)
- Scalloped Foam Hearts ($5)
- Heart Foil Balloons (linked similar)
- Valentine’s Postage Garland ($12)
The Valentine’s Day Photoshoot Process
Once I had all the props ready, I got to work scrubbing my bathtub squeaky clean and blowing up balloons. We hung the fringe backdrop from the ceiling. Then, it was time for the balloons! We filled the tub with as many balloons as we could blow up (there was only one balloon casualty!). Throughout this process, we discovered that our corgi puppy, Winston, is terrified of balloons 🙁
Once we were all set up, I carefully hopped in the tub and we shot the photos! I am thrilled with the way the photos turned out:
